The resort

Few venues in golf carry the history of The Belfry. Host of the Ryder Cup four times — in 1985, 1989, 1993 and 2002, more than any other venue in the world — its name is synonymous with some of the sport’s most celebrated moments. The hotel offers more than 300 bedrooms, most overlooking the golf courses or the Warwickshire countryside, and the Brabazon Bar serves as a natural gathering point for post-round conversation.

The golf

Three courses sit within the resort. The Brabazon — a par-72 layout of 7,255 yards designed by Dave Thomas and Peter Alliss — is the headline, with tight fairways, water features and fast, undulating greens that have witnessed extraordinary Ryder Cup drama. The PGA National Course is the only branded PGA course in England, while the Derby Course offers a more accessible test for mid to higher handicappers new to a Belfry golf break.

Good to know

A PGA Golf Academy and driving range provide practice infrastructure to match the prestige of the courses. Whether the goal is to walk where Ryder Cup legends have played or simply to enjoy a high-quality Central England golf break, The Belfry delivers an experience that justifies every bit of its iconic status.
