Santa Maria Golf Club is a par-70 parkland course just outside Marbella, laid out across two valleys with views of the Mediterranean throughout. The routing has a gentle character — an out-and-back layout that climbs up the hillside before crossing under the motorway to complete the round — but water features come into play across the course and demand careful management of approach shots.
The front and back nines were created by different designers, giving the course a pleasing variety in character from one half to the other. Four of the five par threes fall on the back nine, building towards a standout hole: the par-three seventh plays from elevated tees over around 200 yards, providing one of the more memorable challenges on this stretch of the Costa del Sol. The historic 18th-century clubhouse adds real atmosphere to the day.
Buggies are available to hire, and Santa Maria pairs well with nearby courses including Marbella Golf and Country Club, Chaparral and Los Naranjos for golfers building a multi-round Marbella golf break. Our team can help tailor a course programme to suit handicap and playing preference.
